Nation’s largest motor club teams with Sokolis Group, Fuelman to provide financial relief to service providers through fuel card program, fuel management consulting
Orlando, Fla. - 2/18/2009 - As businesses across the country look for ways to cut costs, AAA is rolling out two cost-saving programs available to its more than 10,500 road service providers. The nation’s largest motor club has partnered with Sokolis Group and Fuelman® to offer a cost-saving fuel card program and fuel management consulting.
The Fuelman MasterCard Card® offers AAA service providers a discount on fuel and non-fuel purchases anywhere MasterCard cards are accepted. An extra discount also is available at any of the 17,000 participating Fuelman locations. The program has customizable card controls to reduce unauthorized use including dollar limits and purchasing restrictions—such as allowing purchases at fuel and maintenance merchants only. Service providers will also have access to online account information and transaction detail.
In addition to the discount fuel card, for AAA club and affiliated service providers with fleets of 25 vehicles or more, Sokolis Group offers fuel management and fuel consulting at a discounted rate. As part of Sokolis Group’s fuel consulting services, it conducts local fuel market surveys, negotiates fuel pricing on a local/regional level and analyzes the fleet’s current fuel practices. Sokolis then designs and delivers a cost-effective comprehensive fuel program to reduce overall fueling costs.
“AAA is pleased to offer these cost-saving programs to our network of service providers,” said Marshall L. Doney, vice president, AAA Automotive. “The Fuelman MasterCard card provides savings to service providers of all sizes. And for larger fleets, Sokolis Group’s consulting services can offer a tremendous cost savings. One of AAA’s club fleets has already experienced monthly savings of $12,000 as a direct result of the program Sokolis Group developed for them. In these tough economic times, everyone can benefit from these fuel savings programs.”
